Hawks Add Assistant Coach
The freight train that is Hawkeye Hockey keeps chugging down the tracks, as the
program fits another missing piece into the puzzle with the addition of new
assistant coach David Barwig. The former Hawkeye netminder, a 2006 Graduate
has accepted a position as assistant coach for the upcoming 2008-09 season.
Barwig will help Coach White in a variety of areas including practice planning,
bench management and more specifically become the goaltending coach, the
program is desperately in need of. Coach Barwig will also contribute.....

Coach White put thirty-eight (38) Black & Gold clad forwards, defenseman and
goaltenders through numerous drills, small area games .....

Hawkeye Hockey Adds Alumni Director
Hawkeye Hockey has appointed 2007-08 Club President and three year player
Kyle "Chuck" Norris to head up its' new Alumni Director position. Norris will be in
charge of soliciting funds from former University of Iowa Alumni from all disciplines
in an effort promote and fund present and future club activities.....

Youth Hockey Camp - A Great Success!
The staff and players want to extend a big THANK YOU to all eighty (80) youth
players and their parents for attending and supporting our 2nd Annual Youth
Hockey Camp! We sincerely hope all campers enjoyed the experience and

for the upcoming season. A basic understanding and some working knowledge of
the game is all that is required. No previous coaching experience is necessary for
