Hawks Call Team Meeting
With the Hawkeye Hockey team having some recent issues both on and off the ice
Iowa Captain Mike Coleman decided that he needed to call a closed-door team
meeting upon returning from Saint Louis last weekend. Coleman called the meeting
to address some problems the Iowa Hockey team had been having as of late and to
set some goals for the remainder of the season.
The IceHawks met for nearly an hour at Coral Ridge Ice Arena before practice and
players left feeling that a lot had been accomplished. "It's nice to have such a
positive reaction and feeling from the team, but we will have to see if we follow
through because talk doesn't mean anything," said Coleman. Fortunately, the Hawks
have mainly managed to overcome what problems they've had so far this season as
they have compiled a 6-0-1 conference record. The IceHawks hope their meeting will
keep them on the right track as they take on conference rival Eastern Illinois in
Coralville this weekend in a crucial two game set.
